Border with Variegated Iris

Border of variegated iris, gerber daisies, blue star creeper and scotch moss. The variegated iris is one of my favorites. It doesn't seem to get out of hand like regular iris. It's foliage makes it an attractive plant almost all year long and the blossoms are just a PLUS. When it blooms, I think it smells exactly like cotton candy.

  1. I need to get me some of those iris's! Are they perennials? I wonder if the dear would eat them...

  2. They are perennials. They die back in the winter but only for 2-3 months and then the new growth is coming up again. I'm pretty sure they are deer resistant. At any rate, you can have one of mine to try.

  3. Super cool, Cami! I'll have to look for some too. We're going to take out the fence in the back yard at Kamber (hopefully this Saturday) to reveal the rock wall. Long story about why it's covered up, LOL. I went out and bought 9 different sedum and hens & chicks. I can't wait! I haven't done any gardening in years.

  4. Wow Cami - good for you! I am terrible at gardening but could use some serious help. I admire you for blogging to help us amateurs out!
